How To Wear Chunky Heels
When chunky heels were popular in the 90’s, we wore them with everything. Now, the general rule of thumb is to wear chunky heels as a contrast to a slim-fitting outfit.

Pants
Chunky heels under boot-cut jeans is just too clunky. When you wear chunky heels, your pants should stop at your ankle or slimly cover only the top edge of your heel.
Wear chunky heels with skinny jeans, leggings or cropped pants.
Thigh-high boots
Thigh-length boots, known also as thigh-high boots or simply thigh boots, are boots that extend above the knees. Other synonyms include over-the-knee boots (OTK boots), and especially when cuffed, pirate boots. Lengths vary from reaching just over the knee to reaching almost to the crotch (referred to as crotch boots).

Like all boots, thigh boots are made of different materials ranging from various leathers, to various synthetic materials (vinyl, polyurethane, or latex), to various fabrics (silk, polyester microfiber). Many are constructed with zippers for ease of entry, but some are constructed as pull-on boots. Heel heights vary, but the majority are sold either as flats or with heels greater than three inches (7.5 cm). Heel styles vary from metal spikes to chunky. Like other boots, they can also have platform soles.
What to Wear with Ankle Boots
In all honesty, ankle boots are probably my least favorite style of women’s footwear.
It’s not that I dislike ankle boots for what they are, it’s more that I dislike how they’re worn — which is often in the most unflattering way possible.

I blame the media. Okay, that’s a cop out, and technically, I am part of the media, so I guess that statement needs a little clarification.
What I mean to say is that what we see on the runways and in fashion magazines does not always translate well for our own bodies and lives.
For example, ankle boots with cropped leggings or shorter tights is a definite “don’t” for women who have shapely calves. Even women who are on the thin side have to be careful as the combination seems to chop inches off your height while adding bulk to your legs.

The only problem is the designers don’t actually care about how women are going to deal with the implied eroticism of the thigh-high boots. In fact, they are frequently related to erotism, boot fetishism, prostitutes and professional dominatrices, so it’s a good idea to know how to wear them properly.
Antonio Berardi, Haider Ackermann and Hermès avoid this unwanted slutty looks by dressing their models in a totally unsexy way. Baggy clothes and too long jackets draw off the attention to the tigh-high boots, loaded with erotism.
Gareth Pugh on the other hand opts for a more dominatrix style by completing the looks with a daring eye make-up.
Emilio Pucci, whose idea is to wear the boots with a short dress or a short fur has stolen my heart. Somehow it makes a perfect compromise between fashion and good impression.

The desired length of this season thigh-high boots is just over the knee, avoiding the ones that reach almost to the crotch (referred to as crotch boots). They can be either flat (Giuseppe Zanotti) or high-heeled (Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Loewe).
For your own good, they are made of genuine leather or suede and the colours seem just toned (black, grey, brown, green, creamy). The aim is so as to make the boots just a ‘dessert’, not the ‘main course’.
Flip-Flops More Dangerous Than High Heels
Science is in the close collaboration with our every day life now. Constant researches give us information about the things we use or do every day without knowing if it’s good for us or vise versa. Recently, there was a study concerning Flip-Flops. In fact it’s very interesting and timely, as far as it’s summer outside.
So, we all adore wearing flip-flops as they perfectly fit our shorts, jeans, skirts. Moreover, there are plenty of various-colored summer comfortable shoes. We feel easy and even relaxed having them on.

Bright and so cute
Betsey Johnson shoes are unabashedly feminine. And, the Betseyville sub-brand takes this even further in its generous use (possible over-use?) of Bows, Ribbons, and all things feminine.

Presenting the Betseyville ‘Lane’ in Pink, Navy, or Black ($74.00 on sale at Zappos, but you can also get the ‘Lane’ $26.99-$90 at Amazon.com depending on size/color availability)
I happen to find the pink to be Too Much; Definitely past my Barbie-girl threshold.
And, as for the Navy …Well, at least I don’t have to wear sunglasses to look at these babies.

And, the Black … I am still trying to decide how I feel about these.

These ones are an interesting and slightly-less-manic color set. Plus, they look like a dream shoe for attending Carnival in Rio. And a gal should always hold on to her dreams.
