As summer is close to its end, more and more of us start thinking about our fall and winter wardrobes. So, dear ladies, it’s time to begin. This post will give you detailed information about styles of dresses and gowns to be most popular in the coming cold months, for Autumn-Winter 2009-2010.

Fall/Winter 2009- 2010 shoestrends Thigh-High Boots / Over-the-knee Boots
Thigh-length, thigh-high or simply thigh boots are the ones that extend above the knees. They are also known as over-the-knee boots and are said to be a next Fall 2009 Winter 2010 must have.

The only problem is the designers don’t actually care about how women are going to deal with the implied eroticism of the thigh-high boots. In fact, they are frequently related to erotism, boot fetishism, prostitutes and professional dominatrices, so it’s a good idea to know how to wear them properly.
Antonio Berardi, Haider Ackermann and Hermès avoid this unwanted slutty looks by dressing their models in a totally unsexy way. Baggy clothes and too long jackets draw off the attention to the tigh-high boots, loaded with erotism.
Gareth Pugh on the other hand opts for a more dominatrix style by completing the looks with a daring eye make-up.
Emilio Pucci, whose idea is to wear the boots with a short dress or a short fur has stolen my heart. Somehow it makes a perfect compromise between fashion and good impression.

The desired length of this season thigh-high boots is just over the knee, avoiding the ones that reach almost to the crotch (referred to as crotch boots). They can be either flat (Giuseppe Zanotti) or high-heeled (Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Loewe).
For your own good, they are made of genuine leather or suede and the colours seem just toned (black, grey, brown, green, creamy). The aim is so as to make the boots just a ‘dessert’, not the ‘main course’.
Fall and Winter trends 09/10
Now we’ve seen what’s on the runway and we kinda see that these are the new fashion trends for Fall 2009.
What!, it’s not even summer 2009 yet.
That’s okay, read about Summer trends and start getting ready for Fall 2009.
When shopping for your fall wardrobe, keep the following in mind and if you don’t want to buy a single thing on this list, don’t you worry.
Just remember some stuff while talking to your shallow fashionista friends and then namedrop like crazy or say something like
“It’s not really about being ‘the Prada girl’ or ‘the YSL girl’, “There are so many choices out there – there are clothes for all the women you might want to be.
said Vogue’s fashion director Lucinda Chambers after the international fashion pilgrimage that came to an end in Paris last night. Trust us, it works.
How to Be Perfect- 12 Steps to Style
1. Admit it – There you’ve done it! You took a long, hard look in the mirror and put yourself asleep. Stop snoozing behind the style wheel and do something about it. There is absolutely no reason to look boring, unless you intentionally want to be perceived that way. Here, is where we could use your social worker skills for some.

2. Believe that you can be beautiful – Looking great is not only the best revenge, it’s the best self-confidence booster! Way back when, I began writing my Focus on Style column because so many women who I came across sadly thought that they could never be as beautiful as the models I worked with as a fashion stylist. Beauty is subjective. Looking gorgeous is a state of mind, plus some effort to make the most of what you’ve got! Every woman deserves to be her own favorite supermodel of loveliness.
3. Find a fashion idol – Yes, most of us would like to find the fashion medium between Audrey Hepburn’s eternal chic and Kate Moss’s edgy simplicity. I included. But I also admit, that I have never nor ever will share their lean, perfect hanger figures. But I can adapt their style to my own curves, and add my own personal funk to embrace the look as my own. Famous or friend, find a fashion icon who inspires you and take note of how her personal style stands out and what you can do to make it yours!
Summer 2009 must-have: Metal Embellishment
Summer 2009 is all about sparkling and making some noise. Metal embellishment is a wonderful way to combine the two. Metal decoration is really huge this season so be ready to see a lot of metal embellished items on store shelves.

From metal beads to metal handles, from tiny peaces to heavy decoration, metal is almost everywhere in summer 2009! Wanna be hot? Go metal!
This is an amazing shoulder bag! It’s made of synthetic leather and decorated with metal mesh. Studden accents, antique brass tone hardware, O-ring details make it look really sexy, feminine and sparkling. Simply can’t take my eyes off of it.
how to find the perfect white shirt
It’s odd that the perfect white shirt should be so hard to find. Walk into any high street chain and there are lots of them – it’s just that to the picky eye there’s something just a little bit wrong with most of them.
Doing something simple well isn’t easy. Everything needs to come together: it needs fine cotton neither too thin nor too thick, a brilliant cut, great stitching, good buttons, perfect cuffs and sleeve length; and on top of all that, the best require a bit of flair. Which is why, if you were to do the white shirt equivalent of a blind wine tasting – that is, line up a big range with the labels ripped out – you’d nearly always find that the ones you really, really lusted after were made by the masters: Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, Jil Sander in the old days, Martin Margiela, Viktor & Rolf (I still lust after one of theirs that I failed to buy a few seasons ago – simple but with an asymmetrical cross-over front and a gorgeous collar). You don’t need telling that none of these come cheap.
Whenever I think of the perfect white shirt, I always think of that lanky aristocratic French model, Inès de la Fressange, the one-time muse of Karl Lagerfeld, who had a way with white shirts – although, if you had a face and a figure like hers, it would be hard not to. She wore them strict and straight; on her they looked classier than any couture number. If you want to see how it’s done, check her out on YouTube, where she’s wearing one that, atypically, has a few frills, teamed with jeans and heels. That’s how it’s done if you’re a jeans-and-heels kind of girl. She also used to tuck them into pencil skirts – very Miss Moneypenny – and was immediately transformed into the kind of secretary whom every man dreamt of having.
If you’re going to do that, you need to find one that is cut slim so that it doesn’t bulk out the skirt, and pull it together with a gorgeous big belt. Here the high street chains have come into their own. They may not have the perfection of detail that the starrier masters go in for, but they’re a whole lot friendlier on the purse and there are plenty of neatly cut versions around.
Victoria’s Secret fashion show in Miami Beach
New Victoria’s Secret show “Return to Glamour” was held November 15 2008!!! R&B Singer Usher kicked off the show.
US underwear label Victoria’s Secret’s sexy angels went down upon Miami Beach, Florida.
35 supermodels took part in a fabulously opulent extravaganza show! Most of babes wore lingerie decorated with feathers, lace, sequins and eye-wateringly rich jewelry.
Popular world-known models Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosia and
Adriana Lima strutted down the catwalk at the newly repaired Fontainebleau Miami Beach during the show, which concured with the abundant reopening of the hotel.
Thakoon at New york Fashion week Spring 2009
The looks on the Thakoon runway had a playful — but sophisticated — naughtiness to them; prints like lipstick kisses and false eyelashes and chiffon gowns with pleated bodices.
Skin colors such as nude, buff and beige were punctuated with textured black, deep red and bougainvillea. The lipstick kisses were subtle, like a sheer nude kisses trench coat with a tulle fringe. And rose prints were featured on several of the dresses, such as a rose print seamed dress with dark ribbon trim.
Designer Thakoon Panichgul designed the printed dress that Michelle Obama wore the night her husband accepted the nomination at the Democratic National Convention.
“Seeing it was magical,” he said.
