Fluid flares, draped dresses, skinny belts and something see-through” is “What you’ll be wearing next summer”, according to Charlotte Sanders of Marie Clarie, January 2008 UK edition, in their article of the same name.
With Spring fashions now currently flooding into our stores, Sanders gives us a taster of what to expect further down the line.

If the average working woman is going to spend hard-earned cash on upgrading her wardrobe, then one of the biggest questions she should ask herself is:

* “Are any of these trends really wearable”?

Surprisingly, if Sander’s predictions are correct, then the answer is yes.
Not only are the majority of summer trends actually wearable, but as skinny styles and ultra minis give way to more fluid flares and flowing dresses, there is probably more to tempt the average, down-to-earth woman next season than there has been in a long time.
In her article, “Fashion Addict In Milan”, of 10 January 2008, Liz Jones of the Daily Mail asked herself two questions when she was reviewing the recent Italian fashion shows:

* “Can I wear this to work?”
* “Would I wear this on a date?”

As hot new fashion items hit the high street stores, these are key questions which would help any lady evaluate the practicality of her potential purchases.

Michelle Williams shimmers in Cannes in first big public appearance since Heath Ledger’s tragic death.
Having fun with her co-stars on the Riviera, Michelle Williams proved life goes on after the death of Heath Ledger.Promoting her new film “Synecdoche New York”, the actress laughed alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener and Samantha Morton.

Despite the tragic death of her ex-fiance, Michelle has looked nothing but flawless since she arrived in Cannes.
Last night, in her first major public appearance since the death of Heath Ledger in January, Williams lit up the red carpet as she attended the premiere of her new film Wendy And Lucy.

Wearing a gorgeous white gown with shoulder lace trim, Williams looked gorgeous as she smiled and posed for photographers, weeks after the death of her former flame.
The film is set around a woman’s adventures after she breaks down and faces a series of challenges while driving with her dog Lucy to Alaska.

Ledger, who was found dead in his New York apartment in January,  died from an accidental overdose of prescription medication.
Although the couple had separated at the time of his death, Williams was left  “devasted” over the tragedy.

The couple began dating while filming Brokeback Mountain, and their daughter Matilda Rose was born in October 2005.
In her first public statement on the death in February, she expressed her heartbreak and described her seeing Ledger’s spirit surviving in their daughter.

“I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father,” she revealed.

“All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day,” she said.
“His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still.

“She will be brought up in the best memories of him.”
The couple had moved to New York in 2005 and were raising Matilda
before his death and the break up of their relationship.

How many times do we forget that models are people too? It seems that we see them only as those beautiful out-of-this-world perfect amazons …

Ever the dutiful hostess, Anna was the first to arrive at about a quarter till seven with her daughter, Bee Shaffer. Like mother like daughter, the pair arrived wearing complicated (and thus impractical, though if there ever were a night…) gowns. Wintour wore a floor-length silver Chanel Haute Couture number with what looked like puffy antlers attached to the hips. Or maybe they were Princess Leia buns. There was a distinct Star Wars vibe going. She slowly climbed up the empty red-carpeted stairs, gripping the pillowy attachments at her sides as if to help swivel her hips, an act she methodically performed her entire walk up the stairs.

Honestly, Tina Fey can do no wrong. She’s brilliant, funny and women everywhere love her because we can relate. However. Maybe, just maybe, Tina might want to think about wearing something besides black.

Although she’s wearing a lovely dress (and I love the gold shoes with it) Tina always wears black on the red carpet. With her coloring she would look amazing in so many colors, especially red. I can’t say I’m much better, though, because I wear loads of black. But once in a while a girl needs to add color to her wardrobe.

Jennifer Lopez has embarked on a gruelling exercise regime in order to lose weight after giving birth to twins.

According to Closer magazine the star’s dedication extends to getting up at 4am to begin working out.

Three hour daily workouts seven days a week mean that the 38 year-old has lost 40lbs - at a rate of 10lbs a week - since having twins Max and Emme in Feburary.

She is understood to have put on almost 4 stone during the pregnancy.

Stars like Rihanna, Miley CyrusAkon, Cameron Diaz, Heidi Klum, Usher, and much more came out to accept awards, get slimmed, and sumo wrestle. Miley Cyrus stole the show when she won ‘Favorite Singer’ and ‘Favorite TV actress.’ Johnny Depp was named ‘Favorite Actor,’ which Cameron Diaz picked up an award for being a ‘Wannabe’–for being the celeb most kinds ‘wannabe’ like. Other guests included Chris Brown (who walked the carpet without Rihanna), Ashlee Simpson, Hayden Panettiere, Jessica Alba, Janet Jackson, Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, America Ferrera, Jack Black (who hosted) and Drake Bell.

Daddy is taking away the keys to some of s cars – permanently.
A court granted the singer’s father on Monday the power to “sell or dispose of” an undisclosed number of her seven cars, documents show.
Lawyers for Jamie Spears stated that the cost of maintaining the fleet of vehicles was too expensive and that the sale of “a certain of” her cars “will save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate.”
Among the singer’s cars are two white Mercedes (a SL65 and a CLK350), a white Mini Cooper convertible, and a black Audi.
Also on Monday, a court spokesman clarified that the pop star’s $1,500 a week allowance “is not her only source of (personal) income,” but did not give further details.
Spears’s father and a lawyer will remain in control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.
