But this summer 2012, famous singer is in pink mood for styling. The star is launching a new perfume, breezily named Beyoncé Pulse Summer Edition, to “capture the essence of a playful, sun-drenched summer day,” according to a release.

The limited-edition perfume mixes notes of pear and jasmine. This aroma is also lighter, with extra fruity and floral notes like ginger orchid, pink pepper, Tunisian orange flowers, sapphire woods and it all inspired “by Beyoncé’s infectious and positive energy”.

Emma Watson for label People Tree

emma watson people tree Actress Emma Watson is modelling for ethical fashion brand People Tree for another season.

Fair Trade champions People Tree have just released pics of the Harry Potter starlet posing for the second collection of pieces that Emma has contributed to.

Already in stores, the range features everything from pretty dresses and slouchy T-shirts to cool checked shirts and chunky knits, all made, of course, from Fair Trade fabrics.

Emma hasn’t designed the collection but she has taken her role as collaborator very seriously. She even accompanied People Tree’s founder, Safia Minney, on a trip to Bangladesh where she got to see the difference between factories in the slums and the Fair Trade factories where the label makes its clothes. ‘Having seen the slums in Dhaka and the conditions in which these people live and work to produce ‘fast fashion’, I would say to those people that this is not the way we should be making clothes in the modern world,’ she said. ‘These workers have no rights and work every hour of the day just to feed their families. Fair Trade gives families the option to stay together, rather than one or both parents having to move to cities, and they are paid a fair wage. It empowers people and doesn’t take away their dignity.’

It’s not the only ethical clothing project that Emma is involved in – she’s also working on an organic clothing range with Alberta Ferretti which is set to make its debut in the coming months.

Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana’s ad campaign

The first ad was the Spring/Summer 2010 Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign.

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, the brand leaders, are in Manhattan at present and making the movie for their Fall/Winter 2010 menswear commercial at Mulberry Street Bar in NoLita.

And it seems that the Madonna has been spotted nearby.

But there is no official announcement from the designers regarding the women RTW collection.

It’s expected that Madonna’s favourite photographer Steven Klein will be shooting in the very same neighborhood in the coming week.

Madonna has already fronted one profitable ad campaign for her friends Dolce and Gabbana, in processingshe also designed a line of sunglasses for the Italian brand for Spring-Summer 2010.

We are waiting for an official word from Stefano Gabbana on the Twitter. Their first collaboration was announced via the social media site back in November, and has already tweeted photos from the NY menswear shoot.

Eva Herzigova created line for Etam

Eva Herzigova has become the second supermodel, after Natalia Vodianova, to create a ready-to-wear line primarily targeted at 40-something women for French label Etam.

The line is entitled Eva Herzigova Pour 1.2.3. The supermodel launched her designs in Paris April 8 and spoke about the range.

It has been totally hands-on, no one telling me what to do and designing whatever crossed my mind,” the model said yesterday as she launched her designs at the Crillon hotel in Paris. “Having done my own clothes from when I was young in the Czech Republic, I know how things are assembled and think of each detail. I am a perfectionist and I demand a lot, and I wanted something that is affordable but also luxurious.”

The line features dailywear styles, including jeans, trench coats and gypsy skirts, as well as long silk evening gown and tailoring.

Eva has also created accessories to complement the offering, with prices ranging from €69 to €225.

Eva is a real woman, always elegant, and will bring a bit more warmth to the brand,” Laurent Milchior, co-managing director of the Etam Group, told WWD. He added that a website would be launched in July to make the collection more accessible. “It will be similar to the Web site we launched for Natalia’s [Vodianova] lingerie line for Etam.”

Of course it’s not the first time that we’ve seen Rosie strip down. She was the Victoria Secret angel, and she also starred in a short film for luxe lingerie label Agent Provocateur.

Trophy Jackets Versus Trophy Girlfriends

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have an online magazine called Swide, which is of course yet another marketing device to sell their clothes.

They’ve taken to their blog to try to sell statement jackets, a key piece of their spring 2010 men’s collection. It’s a hard sell for most straight men, and we’re not sure this argument will be powerful enough to persuade them:

Who needs to bother with trophy girlfriends? Dolce & Gabbana’s SS10 array of great embellished jackets means you can forego the hassle of dating and make your blazer your best spokesperson.

… Light and chic or dark and interesting, you can be all sorts of men this season. Varying your pleasures: go for fail-safe baroque or conversational black and white. Getting lonely with your great jacket collection? Not a concern anyway, the trophy jacket is your best ally to find that trophy girlfriend!

Except that a guy who has a collection of jackets that are this … fussy is bound to be fussy about all kinds of stuff. Most chicks probably don’t want to date a guy who spends longer in the bathroom tweezing his eyebrows and putting on cheek highlighter than they do. And people with that much time on their hands just aren’t having that much sex.

Amanda Seyfried – Her Fashion Secrets and Beauty Must-Haves

Amanda Seyfried Shares Her Fashion Secrets and Beauty Must-Haves!

We’ve already seen Amanda Seyfried sing with Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia and get gory with Megan Fox in Jennifer’s Body, and now Lucky’s newest cover-girl is taking a break from her busy film career to share a few of her favorite things.

When it comes to fashion, the actress doesn’t hesitate in revealing her top picks:

“I love Stella McCartney and Alexander Wang,” she says.

“But I’m much more likely to buy leggings or drop-crotch sweatpants from them than an elaborate, low-cut piece. They both make casual clothes that have a little something extra going on–which is what I want.”

And while the ethereal actress typically prefers a light touch when it comes to makeup, she has learned to play up her natural glow.

“Benefit blushes are so easy to blend.

They work great on me because they create a subtle flush against my pale complexion.”

As for mascara, the star’s favorite, Maybelline Great Lash, is as budget-friendly as it is high-performance.

“It goes on clean and thick and doesn’t clump when I curl my lashes after applying it–and it’s inexpensive!”

Taming of Stubborn Curly Hair

Everyone who has straight hair seems pretty evident that curls are the gift of nature. Then why do the curly-haired women complain about the unruly character of the locks and dream to straighten them up?

Taming-of-Stubborn-Curly-Hair3

The appearance of hair depends on the form of the hair follicle. People with curly hair, it reminds a coma. The hair grown out of this follicle is curled as well that’s why it has a more porous structure.

Keratin cuticle of hair covering it from the outside distributed unevenly bristles all the time and unprotected against the dust, smog, rain and snow. It’s also the reason why they don’t shine almost. They are dry and split a lot along the hair. But the roots of the curls are inclined to the greasiness.

One more problem of this hair is the much talked-about “dandelion effect”: short walk under the rain or at the damp weather (after a hard styling!) – and you get a mop of hair!

How to tame the unruling hair…

All-Black Italian Vogue Returns — With Barbie

Last July, Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani put out an issue featuring only black models, to make a statement about the lack of diversity in the fashion industry.

This year, the July magazine isn’t dedicated entirely to black models (42-year-old model Kristen McMenamy appears on the cover).

But in commemoration of last year’s groundbreaking issue, a special July supplement is dedicated not to black models, but black Barbie dolls. Barbie first came out with a black doll, called “Francie,” in 1967, and in 1980 the first black Barbie doll launched.
