Dior does 70s style hair and eyes
The Dior catwalk this year was full of seventies trends. We saw windswept tousled hair and massive eyes, in all sorts of retro shades. I love how they’ve made the eyes really pop, even though I’m not sure those geometric shapes would work well every day! The use of hairbands (See below) rings a girly twist to these manes as well.
Britney Spears style
Even though I’m as guilty as everyone else of calling Britney a “hot mess,” I’m rooting for her. Divorce, public breakdowns, losing custody of your kids — can’t be easy. Still, there’s no denying, Ms. Brit has made quite a few mistakes over the years. And her fashion don’ts are high on the list of them.
Remember When …
… knee pads were in style? Uhhh, I don’t, which is why I can’t figure out why Britney Spears wore them at her “Baby One More Time” tour back in 1999. It was the first faux pas milestone for the pop princess.
Pretty in Pink?
At the Hollywood premiere of Crossroads, Britney Spears showed up in all pink with a hint of blue spandex. Thumbs down, Brit. It’s too matchy-matchy.
The Denim Duo
While I look back fondly at the days when Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were a united front, I can’t say the same of this denim day for the failed pairing.
Britney is a Pimp
No words can express how truly ridiculous the outfit Britney Spears wore to the 2000 Billboard Music Awards, but let me give it a shot. The pimp-inspired vision speaks for itself. Was Britney going to an award show or a brothel?
Bondage Meets Pop Royalty
“Hey, Britney. What are you wearing to the (2002) MTV Video Music Awards tonight?”
“Oh hi, Michael. I’m going to wear my criss-crossed, laced-up pumps, a black leather dress that has a tail on the side, a matching black leather newsboy cap, and black fingerless gloves. You?”
“Britney, I’m going to wear my gold and white shin guards with black pants, and my red velvet cropped jacket with silver chains on it.”
“Cool.”
Ummm, OK — is it just me or is this the craziest picture ever? Not even an offbeat Michael Jackson in kingdom-wear can take my eyes off Britney Spears in head-to-toe leather.

Michelle Williams shimmers in Cannes
Michelle Williams shimmers in Cannes in first big public appearance since Heath Ledger’s tragic death.
Having fun with her co-stars on the Riviera, Michelle Williams proved life goes on after the death of Heath Ledger.Promoting her new film “Synecdoche New York”, the actress laughed alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener and Samantha Morton.
Despite the tragic death of her ex-fiance, Michelle has looked nothing but flawless since she arrived in Cannes.
Last night, in her first major public appearance since the death of Heath Ledger in January, Williams lit up the red carpet as she attended the premiere of her new film Wendy And Lucy.
Wearing a gorgeous white gown with shoulder lace trim, Williams looked gorgeous as she smiled and posed for photographers, weeks after the death of her former flame.
The film is set around a woman’s adventures after she breaks down and faces a series of challenges while driving with her dog Lucy to Alaska.
Ledger, who was found dead in his New York apartment in January, died from an accidental overdose of prescription medication.
Although the couple had separated at the time of his death, Williams was left “devasted” over the tragedy.
The couple began dating while filming Brokeback Mountain, and their daughter Matilda Rose was born in October 2005.
In her first public statement on the death in February, she expressed her heartbreak and described her seeing Ledger’s spirit surviving in their daughter.
“I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father,” she revealed.
“All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day,” she said.
“His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still.
“She will be brought up in the best memories of him.”
The couple had moved to New York in 2005 and were raising Matilda
before his death and the break up of their relationship.
Fashion wrap: Carry on Cannes
The stars continued to shine on the red carpet at Cannes this week, but French actress Corinne Touzet grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Angelina Jolie is embracing her pregnancy now that the cat is out of the bag that she is expecting twins, but Ange, that dress makes you look like a mountain - it looks like her beau Brad Pitt isn’t a fan either.
Sharon Stone tends to be very hit and miss with her outfit choices at premieres, but one thing is certain – she is not afraid of taking risks.
Michelle Yeoh arrives for the screening of The Exchange at the 61st Cannes Film Festival. Michelle Yeoh was dazzling in a crystal-encrusted gown at the premiere of the film Changeling.

It could be the angle the photo is taken at, but what is with her outfit? The skirt looks like it had an accident with a combine harvester.

Cameron Diaz dazzled at the 80th annual Academy Awards® in a strapless, pale pink Dior by John Galliano gown, and boasted a flawless complexion, thanks to celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman, who used the limited-edition Dior Flower Blossom palette to create Diaz’s fresh spring look.
The product pays homage to the couturier’s passion for flowers, and works to lighten the complexion and brighten the eyes using five colours for layering. The blue flower neutralizes yellow tones, the bluish colour address the needs of dark circles, the pastel green butterfly neutralizes redness, while the white ladybug adds touches of light and the bright pink gemstones give the cheeks a rosy glow. Other products from the Dior’s makeup line were seen on a number of A-list actors at this year’s awards show, including Laura Linney and Keri Russell.
