Honestly, Tina Fey can do no wrong. She’s brilliant, funny and women everywhere love her because we can relate. However. Maybe, just maybe, Tina might want to think about wearing something besides black.
Although she’s wearing a lovely dress (and I love the gold shoes with it) Tina always wears black on the red carpet. With her coloring she would look amazing in so many colors, especially red. I can’t say I’m much better, though, because I wear loads of black. But once in a while a girl needs to add color to her wardrobe.
Men’s designers from Paris and Milan have taken their inspiration from the classic codes of the tuxedo whilst details such as shawl collars and satin or velvet trims are used to create new products.
Dries VAN NOTEN shows a flannel jacket with a satin shawl collar. In his own collection, Kris VAN ASSCHE presents a tuxedo-inspired jacket worn over a boilersuit, while FERRAGAMO mixes sports style with the tuxedo. Ann DEMEULEMEESTER adds a ruched shirtfront to a shawl-collared jacket.
In menswear, the tuxedo is a source of inspiration and reinvention.
In its Men’s Summer 09 Trendbook, Promostyl features it twice: firstly in the ACADEMIC theme in it’s approach to t-shirts and secondly in the SPECTACLE theme where classic codes go between rock and romanticism.
After her solo career bit the dust, ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham relaunched herself as a fashion designer, specialising in jeans.
But her dVb range of denim has been taken off the shelves of L.A’s designer boutiques – and dumped into the bins of bargain basement superstores.
Victoria’s jeans are currently being sold for under £35 in shops like Loemanns in Reseda, California.
The same jeans were for sale for upwards of £145 in Beverly Hills boutiques such as Kitson and Fred Segal.
It is the latest in a long line of troubles for the singer turned designer.
Earlier this month Victoria was reportedly left in tears after a falling out with Fraser Ross, who owns Kitson in Beverly Hills.
Just take a moment to think back to your own teen style. Well, as for me, I can’t look at some of my teenage pics.
They’re awful! Especially the one featuring me in that purple dress I put on for my best friend’s birthday. Yuck!
Anyway, most teens face similar clothing problems.
Teenagehood is the time you start looking for your style, it’s the time you make ashion mistakes and learn the right things about your style preferences. It’s the time of stylish ups and downs.
When it concerns stars, and teen stars in particular, they are short of time for thinking: they need to rush to the red carpet!
These teens can feel no shame looking back on their teen style. Let’s check out some under – aged celebrities who can be taken for style icons:
Let’s take Harry Potter cutie Emma Watson.
She’s only 17 but it’s obvious she’s got an eye for couture that turned her into a real princess of style.
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, 19, can’t do without super glam gowns.
We must not forget 19-year old superstar Rihanna. She’s young but promising. She’s got a musical ear (thank you Jay-Z for showing her to the world!) and a huge sense of style
(I just wonder is it her stylist or her parents I should thank for it?)
