Lauren Conrad shares style tips in new online series

Called, “LC’s Eye On,” the video series will be premiering every Tuesday for 5 weeks straight. Lauren will discuss hot trends in fashion, things she’s obsessed with at the moment, and more. In the first episode, LC leaves us with such gems of wisdom as this, “Every spring, people start wearing more, like, springy dresses.” She also thinks high waisted pants are going out of style because we’ve realized that “nobody looks good in them.” I’ll drink to that.

Deseo: Scent number eight from JLo
The description “diamond in the rough” isn’t one that instantly conjures up an image of Jennifer Lopez; on the contrary, the sultry performer is more likely to evoke a vision of finely spun silk. In the hundreds of photographs we’ve seen of JLo strutting on the red carpet, onscreen or onstage, the word “rough” doesn’t exactly typify. Yet that was the exact phrase used by Catherine Walsh, senior vice-president of American fragrances at Coty Prestige, to describe how Lopez looked one night when they met to discuss her new fragrance, Deseo (from $46, at department stores). Upon hearing herself thus described, Lopez is said to have envisioned the flacon for the scent. Set to hit store shelves in March, Lopez’s eighth fragrance is her most sophisticated so far.

EYES
You can blame fashion’s romance with nature and all its earthly trappings for the extra 10 minutes you’ll have to spend doing your eye makeup this spring. Constructed from concentrated hues found only in flora or fauna, eyes with explosive impact or geometric intensity were beauty’s natural phenomena for your face. From clothing that featured origami folds and magnified floral prints to accessories wrought with butterflies and raffia, the season’s dressing required messages that would feel comfortable in Sherwood Forest. Makeup magician Pat McGrath, P&G’s global creative design director, described the thunderous eye at PRADA—swirled with ruby, gold and various metallic shadows—as a creation meant to give “the effect of light filtering through an iridescent dragonfly wing.”

Britney’s Dad to Sell Some of Her Cars
Daddy is taking away the keys to some of s cars – permanently.
A court granted the singer’s father on Monday the power to “sell or dispose of” an undisclosed number of her seven cars, documents show.
Lawyers for Jamie Spears stated that the cost of maintaining the fleet of vehicles was too expensive and that the sale of “a certain of” her cars “will save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate.”
Among the singer’s cars are two white Mercedes (a SL65 and a CLK350), a white Mini Cooper convertible, and a black Audi.
Also on Monday, a court spokesman clarified that the pop star’s $1,500 a week allowance “is not her only source of (personal) income,” but did not give further details.
Spears’s father and a lawyer will remain in control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.
